Bitiqi: CEC Decision on the Serb List — A Kurti “series” we are watching for the third time

Political analyst Muhamet Bitiqi believes that the Central Election Commission’s decision not to confirm the participation of the Serb List’s candidates in the elections is “a purely political issue” and a “series” that Self-Determination keeps imposing on the citizens of Kosovo, Dukagjini reports.

“It is a purely political issue. A series that Self-Determination imposes on the citizens. And this only harms Kosovo’s international reputation. It serves an agenda that is not in the interest of the citizens—on the contrary. We are watching this series for the third time, directed by a political structure shaped like a triangle—Albin Kurti, Sami Kurteşi, and other officials,” Bitiqi said.

This approach, he added, “creates only noise and does not solve problems.”

“The lack of development policies and the government’s failures are pushing us toward a polarizing nationalist agenda that serves no purpose. In the end, for the third time, Self-Determination is losing before the law and institutions. Meanwhile, Kosovo is losing at the international level,” Bitiqi told Dukagjini.

At yesterday’s session, the Central Election Commission did not certify the candidates of the Serb List, as only three members voted in favor, while two representatives of Self-Determination voted against and six abstained.

This is not the Commission’s first such decision; it previously refused to confirm the Serb List’s participation in elections, including before the parliamentary elections held on February 9.
