Citizens of Pristina on election day: Hopefully, things will get better
Pristina citizens who went to vote this morning told Kosovo Online that they expect a better life and future in Kosovo after the parliamentary elections, though some remain skeptical.
A Kosovo Online team spoke with voters at the Faculty of Economics in Pristina, where Kosovo's Prime Minister and Self-Determination Movement leader, Albin Kurti, also cast his vote this morning.
"We will see after today what happens and how things turn out. Surely, everyone expects something more, a better life, better conditions in Kosovo," one voter said.
"I expect things to get a little better, better for everyone," another added.
As they emphasize, a brighter future is the most important goal for citizens.
"We expect the best, a better future," one voter said.
"I hope for the best for everyone, for all citizens," another Pristina resident emphasized.
However, some do not have high expectations from the parliamentary elections.
"I don’t have great expectations, but something has to change, something has to happen. Hopefully, things will get better," another local remarked.
