The president of the Democratic Union of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said regarding the situation in the north that Kosovo should be in coordination with the West, reports Klan Kosova.

He stated that for Serbia, any instability was an opportunity to postpone the reckoning with Kosovo at a difficult moment.

"Criminal groups financed by Belgrade are expanding their control over our erritory, while Kosovo's institutions do not have full administrative, legal, municipal and security sovereignty in that part. This situation is the result of a lack of close coordination with allies. Therefore, returning to coordination is now an alternative because there is no alternative to boldly sits down at the dialogue table and seeks a final, not an intermediate and initial agreement with Serbia, but as two independent and sovereign states," said Abdixhiku in an interview for Klan Kosova.

He criticized the Government of Kosovo for the work it had done since it was in power.

"In general, this government has caused conflicts and polarization with everyone in Kosovo. It has caused conflicts with the private sector, calling them part of the mafia, with teachers, calling them illiterate, with the media, portraying them as servants of capture, and with the political spectrum itself country. Unfortunately for us, this government has externally reflected this confrontational style with our traditional allies. It is intolerable how easily we give our adversaries allies who have stood by us in the most difficult moments of history," Abdixhiky said.

He pointed out that DUK has moved forward.

"I am extremely happy that we took the right reform steps to give a big return to the rugovist spirit of the Democratic Union of Kosovo itself in the last local elections. It was a test and the men and women of the DUK passed it with excellent marks," said Abdixhiku.
