Aliu: The independent state of Kosovo is a temporary project; a Kosovo nation cannot be created

Minister of Infrastructure Liburn Aliu states that Kosovo is a temporary project, referring to the aspiration for unification with Albania, as reported by Ekonomia Online.

Appearing on the show "Zanat" on T7, he mentioned that a Kosovo nation could not be created. As he emphasized, it would involve a mix of ethnic groups, which, according to him, would not be successful.

"Today, I see Kosovo as more than a temporary project. What are the elements trying to create a Kosovo nation today? The Constitution of Kosovo is the constitution of a multi-ethnic country. What is a Kosovar, whether it's a Kosovo Albanian or something else? If we were to create a nation that aimed to blend ethnic groups, I don't know how successful that would be, and it seems it's not. I think the independent state of Kosovo is a temporary project that has taken a path. The path is normal, economic development, continuous circulation within the entire Balkans will bring it back to a place where all these chauvinisms will be extinguished, and everyone will return to where they should be," he said.
