The Spanish Ambassador to Serbia, Raul Bartolome Molina, said today at a meeting with the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, Borko Stefanovic, that it was necessary to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija in order to normalize relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

As stated in the announcement of the Assembly of Serbia, Bartolome added that the European Union supported this proposal for the continuation of the dialogue.

Stefanovic thanked the Spanish diplomat for the active support of official Madrid for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and Molina confirmed that such practice would continue and that Spain would continue to support Serbia's position on this issue.

Molina also stated that it would be beneficial for Serbia to align its foreign policy with the EU's foreign policy and introduce sanctions against the Russian Federation, in order to facilitate its foreign policy position.

The interlocutors assessed that the bilateral relations between the two countries were getting stronger and that the growing number of Spanish investments, direct flights from Serbia to different cities in Spain, and the love that the Serbs had for the Spanish language and culture had contributed to this, according to the announcement.
