The delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo met with Colleen Hyland, Director for South and Central Europe at the US Department of State. During the discussions, the Chamber representatives emphasized the urgent need to lift the ban on the import of finished products from Serbia, citing the negative impact on American and other international brands operating in Kosovo, Lajmi reported.

"They also expressed concern about the negative impact that relations between Kosovo and Serbia have on their business", the statement from the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo said.

Director Hyland, as noted, understood the Chamber's position, emphasizing the harmful effects of the import ban on both citizens and the economy.

During the meeting, Chamber representatives also expressed concerns about the prospects of attracting investments in Kosovo.

"As for the prospects of attracting investments, she recommended that Kosovo take proactive measures to improve its international brand. She highlighted the significant role of the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, emphasizing that it would significantly contribute to creating a favorable environment for economic growth", the statement said.

Hyland encouraged Kosovo to prioritize initiatives that promote cooperation and strengthen its international position.
