Baraliu: Political parties are manufacturing a crisis that is causing irreparable damage to Kosovo

Law professor Mazlum Baraliu stated that both the government and the opposition are responsible for the current political situation in Kosovo. According to him, these parties are fabricating crises that are causing irreparable harm, as reported by Koha.

Baraliu said on KTV, as cited by Koha, that all parties are behaving irresponsibly.
According to him, matters that could be resolved within two hours or even a few minutes are not being addressed, which, as he noted, demonstrates a lack of political will.

Baraliu assessed that last year’s political crisis is now being repeated.

“When there are not enough numbers, the opposition steps out and barricades itself through behavior that is neither responsible nor dignified. Neither side is showing positive signs of resolving the crisis. What we are now seeing is a shifting of responsibility from one side to the other. Due to political blindness, we may face a repetition of the crisis, where even the election outcome cannot be changed.

We are manufacturing a cyclical crisis, causing irreparable damage to the country. This is a head-on blow for both the government and the opposition,” Baraliu said.

He added that this issue does not require extensive elaboration, noting that it is already well known as it keeps recurring. Baraliu also assessed that political parties are not respecting the electorate.
“I do not see any will on the part of the election winner either. All that is needed here is goodwill. The winner knows very well that it does not have all the votes, even within its own party,” he said.
Baraliu added that “all of that is still not enough for some.”

“The government should have disclosed the names it is referring to. Whoever is proposed is one of our people,” he said, adding that the political class should not burden citizens by repeatedly taking them to elections.

Baraliu blamed the political class for the emigration of citizens from Kosovo. According to him, their whims often exceed the bounds of normal conduct.

He stressed that these parties must change the course of their actions.

Baraliu concluded that the opposition cannot behave as if it were the winner, since it has lost, but neither can the winner act arrogantly, emphasizing that cooperation between them is necessary.
