Co-chair of the European Council on Foreign Relations and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt assessed that after Self-Determination’s victory in the elections in Kosovo, the prospects for progress in the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina are weak because Albin Kurti is blocking the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement.

He also noted that with the votes won, Kurti should be able to form a government.

"With 49 percent of the votes in the Kosovo elections, Prime Minister Kurti should be able to form a regular government. Prospects for progress in normalization of relations however look bleak, with Kurti blocking the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement," Bildt said in a post on X.
