The advisor to the rector at the University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, Nemanja Bisevac, told Kosovo Online that the Kosovo police summoned him for questioning after today's student protest, labeling him as the organizer. However, Bisevac emphasized that he neither participated in nor organized the protest.

"Today, after the conclusion of the student performance, which was organized and carried out by the students of the University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, and which passed without a single incident, I received a call from an inspector of the Kosovo police to report to the police station in North Mitrovica. I was identified as one of the organizers of the protest, although I was not present at the protest nor did I participate in it," he said.

After 30 minutes of questioning, he was released without any penalty, but he notes that he was warned that if similar protests are repeated in the future, either he or one of the organizers will face a fine or be referred to a judge.

"I did not participate in any protest organization. I am glad that our students demonstrated in a unique, dignified, and appropriate manner how one should fight for their rights and their country. They also showed that they are united. Although I do not know who the organizer is, I am happy to see that the youth still thrives in our city," the interlocutor said.

Bisevac interprets this event as another form of repression against the Serbian population and believes the confusion arose because he used to hold student positions.

"They probably associated me with them because of that. I believe this will not scare our students and citizens. We must continue to show through democratic means and non-violent actions that we belong here, that we live, work, and educate young professionals here, and that together with the professors, we build a better future for the people living here," Bisevac emphasized.
