The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, planned to visit Kosovo on February 26, but the trip was postponed after the talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Munich, Kosovo Online learned from a diplomatic source in Pristina. The same source confirmed to us that Borrell had planned to visit Belgrade after Pristina on February 28.

"The visits are on hold after the talks in Munich. There are no signs that the parties are committed to further progress in the dialogue," a diplomatic source from Pristina said.

Let’s recall that European Commission spokesman Peter Stano said yesterday to the Beta News Agency that at this moment, the European Union could not announce a new round of high-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

"We have no basis to announce a possible high-level dialogue," he said, referring to the statement by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that he expected a call to Brussels these days and hoped for a solution regarding the decision of Pristina to ban the use of the dinar in Kosovo.

Stano made this statement at the request of the Beta News Agency to explain whether Vucic's statement (after the talks in Munich with High EU Representative Josep Borrell and Special Envoy Miroslav Lajcak) meant that a new round of dialogue might soon take place.

Kosovo introduced a ban on dinar payment transactions starting February 1, the implementation of which was later postponed for three months. However, citizens face daily problems as a result, such as today when the decision of the CBK affected social assistance beneficiaries.
