Brnabic on beating of Raskovic: Serbs are subjected to terror – this is Albin Kurti's rule of law

Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic posted a video on her account on the social media platform X showing Nenad Raskovic, who was beaten by the Kosovo Police, saying that it showed the terror Serbs endure every day, as well as "the rule of law under Albin Kurti."

"This is Nenad Raskovic, a Serb from the village of Dren in the municipality of Zubin Potok in Kosovo and Metohija. He was beaten in his home by the so-called 'Kosovo Police,' after which they took him outside, tied him to a tree, and beat him again. This is the rule of law in Kosovo and Metohija under Albin Kurti. This is the terror Serbs endure every day. Kurti is systematically creating unbearable living conditions for the Serbian population, with the aim of ethnically cleansing Kosovo and Metohija," Brnabic wrote.

She added that the international community was turning a blind eye and, through its silence, supporting Kurti's intentions and actions.

"We refuse to remain silent. We will speak about this. We will share the horrifying footage of Kurti's terror so that the world can see the truth. We will demand answers and a response. We will call out all those whose silence enables this to happen in Europe in the 21st century. We will never give up," Brnabic said.

Nenad Raskovic from the village of Dren was brutally beaten by members of the Kosovo Police last night after they had first searched his home. He was initially hospitalized at the Clinical Hospital Center in Kosovska Mitrovica, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred today to the Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade.

The Kosovo Police Inspectorate (KPI) has launched an investigation into Nenad Raskovic's allegations, while Chief Deputy Kosovo Ombudsperson Srdjan Sentic has also opened a case ex officio.
