The Brussels Agreement was signed in 2013. It must be implemented and cannot be transferred to other agreements, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, said today in Singapore, RTV reports.

She stated this while commenting on the alleged international community proposals reported in some media on the de-escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo. The request that stands out is to discuss the establishment of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, whose formation the Brussels Agreement provides for, within the framework of the Franco-German plan for the solution of the Kosovo issue.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the Brussels Agreement was the first agreement on normalization and that it must be implemented.

"It has already been agreed, it has already been signed and its implementation is guaranteed by the European Union. You cannot say, "Belgrade has fulfilled all the agreements from the Brussels Agreement, and we cannot do anything because Pristina has not fulfilled its obligations. That is not fair," the Prime Minister pointed out.

As Brnabic says, the entire credibility of the EU is on the line.

"The signature of the high representative of the EU is on that document, I don't know how we can even discuss such things and I hope that it is fake news or half-truth, because it would not make any sense," Brnabic said.

The Prime Minister says that she is not aware of the Albanian media's claims that the agreement on de-escalation in the north of Kosovo has already been reached, and that it will be announced on Friday.

When asked if there is room for dialogue under these circumstances, Brnabic replies that she does not see it.

"I'm not optimistic; I don't know what kind of additional agreement could be reached, considering that Pristina violated all the agreements that were reached before and that we only ask for the respect of those signed agreements. I know that President Vucic is doing his best, I know and that he is in constant communication with the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and that he is trying to find a solution that would further ensure peace and stability in our region," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Certain media outlets in Albanian publish non-papers, but also alleged exclusive information that an agreement on the de-escalation of the situation in Kosovo has been reached in principle.
