Brnabic with Sarazzin: Implementation of the agreed, above all the CSM
The President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, spoke today with the special representative of the German Government for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarazzin, and on that occasion emphasized Belgrade's commitment to preserving peace and stability and the implementation of the agreement with Pristina, primarily the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities
As stated in the announcement of the Prime Minister's Office, Brnabic and Sarazzin had discussed the improvement of bilateral relations, European integration, as well as the current regional situation, and the latest developments within the Berlin Process initiative.
Speaking about the current situation in Kosovo, the Prime Minister emphasized Belgrade's commitment to preserving peace and stability, and emphasized that she expected constructive support that would enable lasting stability in the region with the implementation of existing agreements, and above all the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
Sarazzin emphasized that the talks between Belgrade and Pristina were a good basis for further discussion and progress; that the recent steps in the dialogue represented an important step on the way to the European Union, and that implementation was key. He also emphasized the importance of further steps towards the establishment of a common regional market, underlining that he expected the results of the Berlin Process initiative to enable the creation of a more prosperous environment and provide concrete benefits for the residents of the region.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia was interested in strengthening synergy with Germany, emphasizing that in addition to continuing investment cooperation, especially in the high-tech sector, there were great opportunities for deepening relations in the fields of energy, the auto industry, as well as science and education.
Brnabic emphasized that cooperation in the region was Serbia's strategic commitment with the aim of not only the economic development of the region but also as an idea of connecting and unifying the Western Balkans and bringing it closer to the European Union.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Anke Konrad.
