Brnabic: The situation in Kosovo is terrible, Kurti provokes every day

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, pointed out today that the provocations of Pristina and the Prime Minister of the temporary institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, are now happening almost on a daily basis. She pointed out that they were trying to provoke the Serbian people, destabilize the situation and that everything they were doing was contrary to the Brussels Agreement, Pink reports referring to Tanjug.

Brnabic, after putting into operation the warehouse of the company "Japan Tobacco International" in Senta, and answering questions from journalists, said that today the situation in Kosovo and Metohija was the same.

As she says, it is no longer about what the situation is because of the barricades and the pressure to remove them without any understanding and thinking as to why the Serbs were forced to put them up, but Kurti and Pristina are making daily provocations.

"There are even more of them in one day, they go armed to the teeth to Zubin Potok and Mitrovica in one day, violently invade the municipality, try to provoke the Serbian people, to destabilize the situation and everything they do is contrary to the Brussels agreement. Whatever happens, there is no reaction from the EU", Brnabic pointed out.

She adds that the EU has no reaction to the arrest of Dejan Pantic, nor to the incursion of the Kosovo police in the north, the incursion with long pipes into northern Kosovska Mitrovica, the illegal and brutal confiscation of private property two months ago, the arrest, mistreatment, convictions of Serbs without evidence, the trial of Serbs in Pristina ...

"We have not seen any reaction from the EU," said Brnabic and added that there was no reaction even to the fact that Kurti said that it did not occur to him to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, "which means that for him the Brussels Agreement does not exist."

"The Serbs then go to the barricades, so let's see what's happening, and see how our daily life looks like. They also broke into the kindergarten and you do not say anything, and you say that the barricades are contrary to the Brussels Agreement, and you immediately removed them. What does that look like? The situation in Kosovo and Metohija is terrible and it is the same every day," Brnabic emphasized.

She asked why Kosovo forces invaded Gazivode yesterday, mistreated a man, tore flags, and why KFOR did not speak up, nor did the EU. Commenting on the statement of German Minister Annalena Baerbok that it was unacceptable for Belgrade to say that it would refer to Resolution 12 44, Brnabic asked what was acceptable then.

"Resolution 12 44 is not acceptable, neither the Brussels Agreement nor the Washington Agreement, Kurti does not even respect his Constitution, so what is acceptable?" said the Prime Minister and invited everyone to look at the G7 announcement, which calls that for all crises anywhere in the world the relevant resolution must be respected. She points out that only in the case of Serbia and Kosovo, there is no reference to the UN Security Council Resolution, but the opposite.

"You have violations from all G7 countries and calls for other countries and Serbia to violate them. How do we know which UN resolution to respect and which we must not respect? In case of Libya to respect, they say, but not in case of Serbia. What kind of double standards are those, how do you think we have peace in the world if they have led to absurdity," Brnabic said.

The Prime Minister said that later in the day, she will announce some things that show what life is like for Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija, and only from December 1. She says that the EU only spoke out when the Serbs did something, which they did, as she says, in order to draw the attention of the international community to the violation of basic human rights.

The situation in Kosovo and Metohija is such that every day we come to the brink of war, says the Prime Minister, adding that Serbia and the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are the only ones who want peace and stability.

However, as she says when you cannot take the children to kindergarten and you do not know if they are safe, she does not know what can be expected from the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

She asked the EU to have a look at what happens to those people every day and asked where Dejan Pantic was, whose whereabouts have been unknown for 38 hours.

"It's a shame, a scandal. We will fight and we have to somehow fight for peace," the Prime Minister concluded.
