Burjani: Kurti's political game is unacceptable, we should wait for the opposition to act
Law professor Blerim Burjani assessed that the current situation regarding the failure to constitute Kosovo's parliament resembles a political calculation, and that it is necessary to wait and see what the opposition does, saying that the political game being played by Kosovo's caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti is unacceptable.
Burjani told Kosovo Online that the opposition's next steps should be awaited.
"This looks like politics and calculations. In the end, this game does not suit the opposition either. The opposition is preparing for something else. It wants to remove Kurti from politics once and for all. We need to be patient and wait to see what the opposition will do under these circumstances. The opposition is determined to oppose the government to the end through protests. We will see what the strategy will be now," Burjani said.
He believes that Self-Determination's goal is either to secure the presidency or to buy time until new elections.
"Self-Determination is determined not to constitute the Assembly and other institutions, nor to accept LDK's conditions. These are Kurti's games, putting conditions on LDK and PDK, either they accept the conditions or they will be left without institutions," Burjani said.
He stressed that Kurti's political game is unacceptable to civil society and the citizens of Kosovo.
