Political analyst Bljerim Canaj stated that while a pre-election coalition between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) led by Lumir Abdixhiku and the Social Democratic Initiative (Nisma) of Fatmir Limaj is possible, it would be more natural for Nisma to align with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).

Canaj noted that Limaj has a loyal voter base and can bring around 20,000 votes to whichever party he joins in a coalition.

According to him, if a coalition between Nisma and LDK does occur, it would be strictly a pre-election arrangement, whereas a genuine alignment would be with PDK.

“It would be more natural for Limaj to join PDK than LDK. Whichever party he joins, he would bring almost 20,000 votes. We have seen that Limaj has a very loyal electorate, particularly in Malisevo. I expect that if Limaj leans toward LDK, it would only be a pre-election coalition. A true political alignment would be more natural with PDK. They might try to present it as a coalition, but in practice it would look more like an absorption, and after the elections it could lead to separation,” Canaj assessed.
