Chen Bo: China's position on the issue of Kosovo is clear; the CSM should be formed as soon as possible
Chen Bo, the Ambassador of China to Serbia until recently, stated that her country's position on the issue of Kosovo was clear and consistent, and said that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities should be formed as soon as possible, Blic reports.
In an interview with Tanjug, Chen Bo said that China supported Serbia's efforts to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We support finding a solution through dialogue within the UN Security Council Resolution 1244. The obligation to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities should be fulfilled as soon as possible," Chen Bo said.
The Ambassador, who left Belgrade a few days ago, after her mandate ended, expressed her gratitude to the people of Serbia for their hospitality, support, and help, and stated that she would carry Serbia in her heart wherever she went.
She added that bilateral cooperation had no borders, and the international exhibition Expo, which would be held in Belgrade in 2027, would additionally contribute to it.
"What I am most proud of in the relations between Belgrade and Beijing is that our mutually beneficial cooperation fights against all kinds of challenges, which strengthens our iron friendship," she stated.
According to her, the cooperation between Serbia and China, thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has achieved significant success in all fields.
When asked what she saw as the potential for the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership and friendship between our two countries, she said that there was significant and wide scope for cooperation in the fields of tourism, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, medicine, and health care, biotechnology, agriculture, as well as information and telecommunications.
She also said that there were many things she would never forget.
