Citaku: There will be no recognition on Monday, but a new status quo will be signed

Vice President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Vlora Citaku criticized Kurti for lack of transparency before the meeting between Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on February 27 in Brussels, saying that he is going to Brussels without officially presenting the Franco-German proposal to the political representatives, reports Gazeta Express.

"We as the opposition are minimally informed about the content of the agreement, because from what we saw a few months earlier, in the one-page document that was given to the PDK president to read, that text was more of a ceasefire, a political statement, and not the final agreement that is based on mutual recognition", said the vice-president of the PDK in an interview for RTV21.

Citaku expressed her fear that a "new status quo" will be signed on Monday.

According to her, the Franco-German proposal is only a political statement, by which the parties commit to continuing the dialogue.

"It will create a new status quo because it does not provide a final solution for the relationship between Kosovo and Serbia. There is no mutual recognition, but it is a political declaration in the form of a pledge where both sides promise before an international mediator that they will continue the dialogue", she stated, among other things.
