The decision on visa liberalization for passports issued by the Coordination Directorate for Kosovo and Metohija, adopted at the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, has pleased the citizens of North Mitrovica, who have pointed out that obtaining visas has been difficult so far.

Jovana Nedeljkovic from North Mitrovica tells Kosovo Online that this decision has pleased her and will make traveling easier for her.

"As a student, I was genuinely pleased when I heard this because we were supposed to go on a study trip with our University. There was a question of whether we would get visas and what we would do with our passports. Now that I've heard, I know we don't have to worry and that we don't need to get passports; we will go on the study trip. I am generally happy about traveling, we were quite restricted in that regard," Nedeljkovic says.

Dejan Pavlicevic describes the decision as "small but significant" for all citizens.

"Thank God, something in our favor. I'm glad because getting visas was a hassle. That is why I opted for countries that didn't require visas, like Tunisia and Egypt. Now it will be much easier, we used to feel like second-class citizens, and things are looking more positive now," Pavlicevic says.

Andjela Vitorovic describes this decision as wonderful news.

"It is really great to hear that, we can travel like all our peers from central Serbia. I am sure that this news will please all citizens in Kosovo and Metohija," Vitorovic emphasizes.
