Dacic: The international community urgently needs to stop Kurti; a new crisis is on the horizon

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, pointed out after the session of the Bureau for the Coordination of Security Services that the state and situation in Kosovo were specially analyzed, which had been assessed as increasingly difficult, due to the irresponsible behavior of Kosovo's institutions, RTV reports.

Dacic, who is also the secretary of the National Security Council, called on the international community to stop Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

He emphasized that the same story was being repeated and that Pristina continued to destroy all the agreements that had been reached, such as the one about license plates, generating new crises and destabilizing the situation in Kosovo, and therefore in the region.

"This is a true indicator of their clear intention that they do not want peace and that they are trying to avoid the obligations that they undertook in Ohrid, among other things. And the first obligation is the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities. In this regard, this is another indicator for the international community that it must take our warnings seriously and that by arresting and persecuting the Serbs, and violating guaranteed rights and freedoms, they are creating new crises in order to prevent new agreements that would be a step further in the normalization of the situation," Dacic said.

He pointed out that all this was happening now before the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina on April 4 in Brussels.

"It is clear that the old situation is on the horizon and a new crisis is generated by Pristina. We will do everything, as before, to protect the peace, and to be constructive, but Pristina's constant provocations create an atmosphere for everything that was discussed. This is in fact, an attempt to escape from the formation of the CSM," Dacic said.

He stated that the international community had to take this seriously and put pressure on Pristina.

"They present the Serbs as a disruptive factor, criminal groups that set cars on fire, and there is massive repression against the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and this cannot lead to a calming of the situation. Therefore, urgently stop Albin Kurti. That is the responsibility of the international community and that is the main message of the session," Dacic said.

He said that at the session of the Bureau for the Coordination of the Security Services, the geopolitical situation and relations in the world had been discussed and how it would affect us, and that the next session of the Bureau in April would be dedicated to the fight against crime and corruption.

The session of the Bureau was attended by members of that body: Director of the Security and Information Agency Aleksandar Vulin, Director of the Military Security Agency Major General Djuro Jovanic, Deputy Director of the Military Intelligence Agency Colonel Dejan Pajic, Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic, Minister of the Interior Bratislav Gasic, as well as the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic and director of the Office of the Council for National Security and Protection of Secret Information Goran Matic.
