Dacic: Pristina used the summit in Podgorica exclusively to speak against Serbia

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who participated in the Summit of the South-East European Cooperation Process today in Podgorica, said that the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, had spoken against Serbia and the Serbs during the meeting, the Vojvodina Uzivo portal reports.

"All the time, she spoke exclusively against Serbia, against our people, telling lies and distorted things related to the things we have already agreed upon in the negotiation process in the past ten years. You ask yourself whether everyone really wants to cooperate or not," Dacic said.

Dacic pointed out that he had come to Podgorica on behalf of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
According to the Minister, there was not much discussion about the declaration that was adopted at the summit, but the heads of delegations had the opportunity to say what they think are the biggest problems of the region.

"I used this opportunity to remind once again about everything that Pristina is doing. Let me remind you that 10 years ago we signed the Brussels Agreement, which defined the establishment of the CSM, but that did not happen. I also said that we had an escalation of the problem and that there had been an escalation in the very north of Kosovo," Dacic stated.

The head of the Serbian diplomacy recalled the arrest of the Serbs in the north of Kosovo, their injuries, and the blockade of goods of Serbian origin, and finally referred to the appointment of Albanian mayors in areas where only the Serbs live.

Dacic emphasizes that now no one is talking about the formation of the CSM.

"Today's statements by Vjosa Osmani differ from the assessments of all international factors about Pristina's position. Washington, Brussels, and many international centers criticize Pristina and demand that it take certain steps to de-escalate the problem," Dacic said.

The minister pointed out that Pristina was expected to withdraw the police and illegitimate mayors in order for the dialogue to continue.

"Pristina is now attacking both European and American negotiators that they are on Serbia’s side. In Podgorica, I repeated that our determination was a peaceful solution, the continuation of dialogue, membership in the EU, but also very persistent protection of territorial integrity and sovereignty, and therefore the protection of our people in Kosovo and Metohija," Dacic said.

According to him, none of those present in Villa Gorica reacted to Vjosa Osmani's statements.

"Kurti's, Gervalla's and Vjosa Osmani's statements remain without any reaction; they even meet with the displeasure of those who attend various meetings. People want to talk about normalization, not about further tightening and escalation,” Dacic concluded.
