Dacic: Vucic created a good foundation for Serbia with the agreement

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia stated today that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, with the agreements he had reached in Brussels and Ohrid, had created a good foundation for Serbia, because it had become a party that was constructive and was no longer in the spotlight, and the ball was, as Dacic said, in Pristina's court, RTV reports.

"Kurti is expected to immediately form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities (CSM), and the next step is to present some version of the CSM Statute. The problem is that Kurti has nowhere to go, and that is why this moment is dangerous. If Kurti does not want to form the CSM, he is left with trying to intensify the situation on the field and to have incidents and arrests, where it would have to be said that this will have to wait for some other time," Dacic told Tanjug.

He points out that, from the beginning, Pristina tried to relativize the establishment of the CSM, and if they can avoid it, Dacic says, they will.

He adds that this is precisely why Serbia's appeal was "stop Kurti so it's not too late."

The head of Serbian diplomacy notes that it is good that the technical talks have begun and that the Declaration on Missing Persons has been accepted.

"It is also in our interest that this is resolved as soon as possible, and this should be verified when Kurti and Vucic meet, I think in May," Dacic said.

He adds that a session of the Government of Serbia will be held today, where a decision will be made on the operationalization of the conclusions from Raska from the other day, which are the need to form the CSM and the withdrawal of special units in the north.

"Pristina, under the pretext of fighting corruption, is strengthening its presence in the north, which it has no right to do according to the Brussels Agreement. They are leading to a problematic situation by incorrectly interpreting what was agreed upon for the license plates and setting deadlines. We have various proposals on how to solve that problem," Dacic said.

He emphasizes that if Pristina seizes vehicles because of license plates, and harasses and arrests people, there will be reciprocal measures and an appropriate response from Belgrade.

Dacic says that it is evident that the Serbs are scared and want to know how Serbia will support them.

"The arrival of the army is only possible with a conflict with NATO because Pristina does not exist as a military force. We have to stand up for peace with all our might, and prepare for war," Dacic said.

He notes that the security situation in Kosovo is increasingly difficult, that there have been a large number of serious incidents, and that their number is growing.

"These are not incidents of a verbal nature; the Kosovo Police are shooting at Serbs, and there are constant arrests, raising tension and creating dissatisfaction among Serbs with long-standing mistrust toward the international community. They are increasingly turning to the state leadership with requests to help them, and I think that is why it is important to know what Serbia wants," the Serbian head of diplomacy stated.
