Djilas: I support the barricades in Kosovo, the survival of the Serbs in Kosovo to be the core of the politics

SSP leader Dragan Djilas told for Blic TV that the core of Serbia's politics should be the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. He added that he supported the barricades.

According to him, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is creating a bigger and bigger crisis every day so that the Serbs will move away.

"It all boils down to whether there will be any of our people who will live there. That must be the essence of our politics. If the people leave, then what should we talk about?!", Djilas said.

Djilas also pointed out that he supported the barricades in the north of Kosovo.

"I support it, because people are fed up with everything. Every day there is a new provocation, a new problem from Kurti. I am afraid of escalation, people are armed there and there are high tensions," he said.

As far as the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is concerned, Djilas points out that there are two things we should never consider, let alone accept, namely the recognition of Kosovo and Kosovo's membership in the UN.

"Everything else comes into consideration. This is a topic that requires unity and a common attitude of all people in Serbia," Djilas said.
