Djukanovic: Giving Kosovo the status of an associate member is a scandalous decision, Serbia to leave the NATO’s PA

The head of the Serbian delegation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Vladimir Djukanovic, assessed that the decision to give Kosovo the status of an associate member in the NATO’s PA is scandalous and announced that Serbia will make a decision on further participation in that body in the coming period.

Djukanovic stated on the social network "X" that his personal opinion is that in this situation Serbia should leave the participation in NATO's PA.

"Given that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly allegedly decided to give the fake state of Kosovo the status of an associate member instead of the current status of the 'Kosovo Assembly', as someone who is the president of our parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I can say that this decision is scandalous and that we will in the following period make a decision on our further participation. My position is that in such a situation we should leave the participation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly", stated Djukanovic.

And President Aleksandar Vucic, in his address on TV Prva yesterday, pointed out that Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe would be the "de facto" expulsion of Serbia from that organization.

"No problem, you go with it, and then we'll see if Serbia wants to stay in the Council of Europe or not. Well, let's see, maybe you like having Pristina more than Belgrade and Serbia in the Council of Europe," Vucic said in response to the question of whether Kosovo will be accepted into the SC after the implementation of the decision on the return of property to the Visoki Decani monastery.
