Djuric and Giaufret discuss Serbia–EU relations and current international developments

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric met today with the Deputy Director-General for the Western Europe region at the European External Action Service (EEAS), Emanuele Giaufret, to discuss relations between Serbia and the European Union, the dynamics of the accession process, regional cooperation, as well as current international developments.

During the meeting, the importance of continuous and substantive political dialogue between Serbia and the European Union was underscored, along with the need to further enhance comprehensive cooperation in the context of continuing reform activities within the accession process and strengthening stability and connectivity in the Western Balkans region, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Djuric emphasized that membership in the European Union remains Serbia’s strategic commitment, reaffirming Serbia’s full dedication to continuing comprehensive reforms and further intensifying cooperation with EU institutions and the EU Member States.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath.
