Djuric: Gërvalla’s criticism is hollow, Pristina consistently undermines European values

Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric, stated that Donika Gërvalla’s criticism of Serbia over President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to Moscow is not rooted in European values, as it is the Pristina administration that is actively undermining those very values.
“Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz’s criticism of Serbia—allegedly based on European values—rings hollow when her administration in Pristina is actively violating those values on a daily basis,” Djuric wrote on the social media platform X.
He pointed out that the Serbian people in Kosovo are subjected to systemic exclusion, while Pristina, despite repeated calls from the EU, has still failed to implement the 2013 Brussels Agreement provision on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, which is a cornerstone for coexistence.
In contrast, he stated that the Serbian leadership, including President Vucic, has consistently sought dialogue, navigating complex regional challenges to promote stability. Meanwhile, Albin Kurti prioritizes harmful unilateral actions that deepen divisions, pushing Kosovo and the region further away from Europe—thus creating space for foreign influence.
“Kurti’s actions have placed him high on the list of the most effective agents of anti-European influence in the region,” the minister remarked.
Djuric emphasized that Serbia remains committed to upholding its rights under the Brussels Agreements, UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and the law.
“In the meantime, Serbia’s principled stance on global issues, including the issue of Ukraine, is widely respected both within the EU and beyond. Priština’s contradictions are evident to Europe and the international community,” Djuric concluded.
