Djuric: One minute to midnight for the Belgrade-Pristina agreement implementation
Ambassador of Serbia to the US Marko Djuric said that he did not consider the arrival of the "five" to be D-Day for Serbia but that he thought it was definitely the last moment for the implementation of the Belgrade-Pristina agreement, RTV reports.
"It is definitely one minute to midnight for the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, for respecting the Washington principles and for normalizing the situation on the ground, and stopping Kurti's moves, which in the past months caused a lot of headaches not only to our people who live on Kosovo and Metohija but also destabilized the entire region," Djuric says.
As he said, since February 24 last year, Kurti had been "constantly and continually trying to undermine and weaken Serbian positions with violent methods."
"The only thing he has managed to do is to undermine and weaken stability in this part of Europe. Serbia is progressing, developing, and improving its economic and political capacities, and it is confident and responsible towards the dialogue process," Djuric points out.
He emphasizes that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, "stood behind the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija" in the previous weeks and months when security was threatened.
"This is a significant day for Serbia, but a day in which the Serbian delegation and Serbian representatives headed by President Vucic will take care of Serbia's interests and the future of both Serbs in Kosovo and Serbia as a whole," Djuric concluded.
