The candidate of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO) in the upcoming European Parliament elections, Konstantin Dobrilovic, assessed that politicians in Kosovo had become quite 'emboldened' and were attempting to shift their unfulfilled obligations onto others, seeking, among other things, the removal of individuals from their positions.

“It is overly ambitious to demand that Germany remove its ambassador, the greatest ally of the so-called Kosovo. It is more than obvious that Pristina is desperately trying to shift its unfulfilled tasks onto others, seeking the removal of people from their positions and exerting pressure on certain individuals,“ Dobrilovic said for Kosovo Online regarding claims that Minister Donika Gervalla requested during her visit to Germany that Berlin remove its ambassador to Pristina, Jorn Rohde.

Dobrilovic emphasizes that it is actually time to exert pressure on Pristina to engage in dialogue if that is even possible, he adds. He also notes that Kosovo has made a good strategy for themselves, protecting their interests by lobbying in various European institutions.

"People lobby for Pristina, not only in the European Parliament but also outside of that institution. What these people get in return is a question, not for me, but for the relevant authorities," Dobrilovic said.

He points out that the support for Pristina from the European Parliament and other institutions is certainly concerning.

"We should always talk, but there are clear indicators here that Andreas Schieder from the Social Democratic Party supports the so-called independent Kosovo. Therefore, with such people, we cannot have a conversation if they do not change their stance and stop criticizing only one side - Belgrade and Serbia," Dobrilovic said.

He emphasizes that despite EU sanctions, Pristina manages to take unilateral actions and lobby for its position because the sanctions are, in fact, symbolic.

He points out that sanctions against Pristina should be significantly tightened to yield results.

On the other hand, he says it is very significant that Kosovo was the subject of a session of the United Nations Security Council.

"It is very important that the case of Kosovo was before the Security Council. Serbia should continue along this path and act responsibly because it has a serious foreign policy, while Pristina tries everything to disrupt it. However, serious individuals in Serbian institutions lead the policy, and this will certainly continue in the future," Dobrilovic concluded.
