Garic: Kurti and Rasic's cheap trick with "approval" for the patriarch; they are looking for a crack in the Serbian ranks

Albin Kurti and his minister Nenad Rasic had played a cheap political trick, they had wanted to set a trap for Patriarch Porfirije with that sudden "approval" for him to come to Kosovo for Christmas, and of course, the Serbian Orthodox Church had seen through their game, the editor of the Kosovo Online portal, Milos Garic said on TV Prva.

Garic says that, after the ban on the entry of Patriarch Porfirije into Kosovo, ten days ago, nothing has changed in Kurti's attitude towards the Serbs.

"Kurti has not changed his mind, Kurti has a completely clear idea, he does not want the Serbian Orthodox Church, nor the Serbs in this current format in Kosovo. He wants Serbs like his minister Nenad Rasic and Rada Trajkovic. These are the Serbs according to his standards. We see what they are doing. Rasic submitted that request to Kurti for the patriarch's visit without any basis or need. He should not deal with that issue. It should not be done like that. The patriarch should not even ask Kurti to come to his Kosovo, but we are in some evil times when the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church cannot visit monasteries and churches in Kosovo when he wants to. And that fact alone speaks for itself," Garic pointed out.

According to him, Kurti and Rasic had their reasons for this latest move.

"Rasic needed this to present himself as a Serb again since he no longer believes in it, and neither does anyone in Kosovo. He wanted to send a message that he cared for the Serbs. We know that he does not represent the Serbs in Kosovo at all. Yesterday, through the ministry where he works in Pristina, he called on the joining of the Kosovo Security Forces, which Kurti is preparing for the attack on the Serbs. Racic also recently voted in the government for the decision to confiscate lands of the Serbs in the north to build special police bases, and he also voted for the decisions on organizing the celebrations and jubilees of the KLA, which are planned this year," Garic recalls.

He adds that, at the same time, Kurti wanted to say that he had good intentions towards the Serbs because even in the West, some no longer trusted him.

"The Serbs don't trust him. He sends those messages to people like Rasic and Rada Trajkovic. It's clear that it's just a big show. And it's good that the Serbian Orthodox Church and the patriarch saw through that and didn't fall for that game, to not give legitimacy to Kurti and Rasic. The Patriarch said that he would go to Kosovo when he deemed it necessary, not in this way, and that is good. This is the current situation, we in Kosovo are currently living something that is the complete opposite of normal life," the editor of the portal Kosovo online states.

Garic points out that Kurti uses every convenient opportunity to send another poisonous arrow toward Belgrade and manipulates the general situation in the world to turn things in his favor.

"He has the support of the West; we hear what officials, from Germany in particular, are saying. The fact that they are trying to push Serbia into that story to accept the statehood of Kosovo, in one way or another, through these various proposals and models, we see where that would lead us to. It would lead us to the obliteration of everything Serbian in Kosovo and Metohija. The Serbs would lose what is most precious; I will not use harsh words, but for us, in Kosovo lies a national treasure. There is a semblance of life in shopping malls, in Kosovo is our essence. It is the memory of people, an identity card. If we renounced Kosovo, we would become homeless, we would be some kind of these modern migrants who wander around Europe, and we would not know who we are. That is the essence of our struggle for Kosovo. We cannot renounce ourselves, and that is what the great West wants from us. Kurti wants it because he wants to take from the Serbs - the history, culture, and Serbian values that the Albanians in Kosovo do not have. They lack that. They create a false history, a false world; they want to say that they are natives in Kosovo, that everything belongs to them there, and that Serbs are foreigners there, that we usurped something from them. And the matter is actually reversed. And that is why we come to these situations where the Serbian patriarch has to ask Kurti for permission to come to Kosovo. And Kurti continues to provoke, he says that Kosovo is free, that you can walk freely there. And we saw with what kind of weapons and with what force he went against the Serbs, how he tried to discipline them, how he tried to force them to listen to his dictatorship," Garic emphasized.

He indicates that the state of Serbia and the Serbs will not agree to this, despite all the pressure on the Serbs in Kosovo and on President Vucic.

"Although we live hard and we have to make additional sacrifices for it. We have nowhere to go. It is not easy, but no time is easy. We have to resist. The pressure will be even stronger this year, both on the Serbs in Kosovo, as well as on Belgrade and President Vucic. We have seen how the German press accuses and attacks him. They see him, both there and in Pristina, as the biggest barrier to the implementation of their goals. They are trying to find cracks in our ranks so that by threatening Belgrade, they will lead to the fact that we cannot defend Kosovo. The Serbs understand that we still have a fight ahead of us and we will continue to fight because that is the only way to reach the goal," Garic said.
