Jovanovic spoke with Al Muraikhi, readiness confirmed for further strengthening of Serbia-Qatar relations

State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nevena Jovanovic met with Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, with whom she discussed bilateral relations between Serbia and Qatar. According to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen them.

The interlocutors discussed opportunities for further intensifying bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation within international organizations and multilateral forums.

“On this occasion, State Secretary Jovanovic reiterated her gratitude to the competent institutions of the State of Qatar for their cooperation and valuable support provided during the evacuation of citizens of the Republic of Serbia in March this year, amid the crisis in the Middle East,” the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Jovanovic stressed that such support is yet another confirmation of the good bilateral relations, friendship and mutual respect between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Qatar.
