Djuric with Kombos: Serbia-Cyprus relations characterized by understanding, respect and support

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met today in New York with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and stressed during the meeting that there were no outstanding issues between the two countries.

Djuric said he was proud of the decades-long friendship and close ties between the two peoples and countries, emphasizing that relations between Serbia and Cyprus were characterized by mutual understanding, respect and support.

The Serbian Foreign Minister assessed that political dialogue between the two countries was highly developed at all levels and expressed the expectation that Minister Kombos would visit Serbia in the coming period.

The two ministers also exchanged views on current geopolitical and regional issues, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Particular attention was devoted to the possibility of resuming meetings in trilateral formats, which have proven to be a useful mechanism for deepening political dialogue, exchanging views on various issues and strengthening practical cooperation.
