Kozarev meets diplomatic representatives of Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico: Respect for the UN Charter is essential
Secretary General of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dusan Kozarev met today in Belgrade with diplomatic representatives of Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico, where the need to respect international law and the Charter of the United Nations—particularly with regard to Kosovo—was underscored.
Kozarev met with Brazilian Ambassador Maria Clara de Abreu Rade, Argentine Ambassador Osvaldo Narciso Marsico, and Deputy Ambassador of Mexico Flor de Liz Vázquez Muñoz at a working lunch hosted by the Brazilian ambassador.
The discussion highlighted agreement on all key issues of mutual interest, and the interlocutors emphasized the importance of respecting international law and the UN Charter, particularly in relation to Kosovo, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Kozarev thanked the representatives of the three strongest Latin American economies for their consistent support for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The talks also addressed opportunities to enhance trade exchange and to identify concrete ways to further increase it.
Significant untapped potential for cooperation was noted, along with an expressed readiness for more intensive contacts and closer coordination with the Latin American group, with a view to advancing overall bilateral and multilateral relations, the statement added.
