Political analyst Milazim Krasniqi says that Kosovo is the only one in Europe that does not have a daily newspaper and that one of the criteria for integration into the European Union should be at least three daily newspapers per one and a half million residents.

"We are the only country in Europe without a newspaper. In my opinion, one of the criteria for integration into the European Union would be for a country with one and a half million residents to have at least three daily newspapers. Why? Because a country that has seven public universities and no daily newspaper is simply not a country," Krasniqi posted on Facebook.

He adds that if there are not 10,000 readers out of 100,000 students, the question arises as to how many students there really are, and the same situation applies to professors.

"When it comes to professors, the criteria should be more rigorous – if out of 3,000 university professors, there are not 2,000 regular readers of daily newspapers, the question is how many of them are professors. Of course, I'm talking about real newspapers, not puppets of parties or criminal groups, as some of the past newspapers were," Krasniqi wrote.
