Lacroix meets with Serbian mayors and representatives of the health and education sectors

United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix met with mayors and representatives of the health and education sectors in northern Kosovo.

According to a statement issued by UNMIK, they discussed local governance, interactions between local and central institutions, and their implications for human rights and the well-being of local communities.

Together with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Peter Due, Lacroix also visited the Visoki Decani Monastery, where he met with Father Sava and discussed the role of interfaith dialogue in fostering mutual understanding, reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence among communities.
