Lucic: Irrational and dangerous attacks by Pristina authorities on Telekom Srbija
In response to accusations by officials in Pristina that Serbia, through the MTS network, attempted to destabilize Kosovo by issuing a bomb threat to the Kosovo Parliament, Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lucic stated he was shocked by such irrational and dangerous attacks on the company.
Lucic reminded Kosovo Online that two years ago, the Pristina authorities attempted to shut down Telekom Srbija, clearly demonstrating their intent and desire to obstruct or even halt the company’s operations.
“Telekom Srbija enjoys a strong international reputation, and I believe it would be more appropriate for the Pristina administration to finally move forward with issuing a third mobile network license, instead of launching these scandalous attacks. That would be in the best interest of the people living and working in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija,” Lucic emphasized.
Following Saturday’s bomb threat to the Kosovo Assembly, Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla accused Serbia of waging hybrid warfare against Kosovo via the Serbian mobile network.
Today, security expert Agim Musliu was more specific, stating that Serbia is destabilizing Kosovo through the MTS network and called for a review of MTS’s operations in Kosovo.
