General Director of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, stated today that, thanks to the company’s cooperation with the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM), Telekom will play a key role in attracting new American investments to Serbia. He also noted that Telekom Srbija has established cooperation with Meta, RTV reports.

“In general, we have a strong relationship with U.S. institutions, including the U.S. EXIM Bank. We are the first operator in Europe to have an arrangement with this American export-import bank. By bringing EXIM Bank to the Western Balkans, we’re paving the way for new U.S. investments, since the bank finances American exports,” Lucic said.

Speaking to Prva TV, he also revealed that Telekom Srbija has special arrangements in place with Amazon and Bank of America.

“In New York, we also held a meeting with Meta to establish direct cooperation for better promotional efforts. As we’ve now become an international company, present in 12 countries, marketing—especially through Google and Meta—is extremely important. So we seized the opportunity to hold direct talks aimed at improving our collaboration,” Lucic explained.

He emphasized that Telekom Srbija has always maintained an open and transparent approach and that it is an export-oriented company.

Lucic also announced that during his recent visit to New York, an agreement was reached to expand Newsmax Balkans into Newsmax Europe, which will initially cover the entire Eastern European region.

“I believe this is the biggest journalistic undertaking Serbia has ever seen, as our headquarters in Belgrade will cover Eastern Europe. Essentially, we are expanding Newsmax from Poland to Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and the Western Balkans,” Lucic said.

He added that the initial focus will be on Eastern Europe, with plans to expand into Western Europe thereafter.

“We hope that once we complete the Eastern European phase, we will move into Western Europe. By the end of 2026, Newsmax should be launched in all of the mentioned Eastern European countries,” he noted.

Lucic also hinted at a major upcoming project in the United States and expressed confidence that Telekom will soon reach at least one million users there.

Additionally, he announced that Telekom, through its Arena network, will soon launch new sports channels.

“We are introducing two new sports channels—Arena Tennis and Arena Motorsports—starting July 15 as a lead-up to the start of the new sports seasons in August. We hold broadcast rights for the Western Balkans and have a wealth of content, so we believe our users will be pleased,” Lucic concluded.
