Many citizens in North Mitrovica complain they are unable to exercise their right to vote

A large number of citizens in North Mitrovica have complained that they are unable to exercise their voting rights. They cite incorrect information on the Central Election Commission’s website and its voter list platform as the reason.

As dissatisfied citizens told Kosovo Online reporters, some were listed on the CEC website as voting at the Technical School. However, when they arrived at that polling station and, after a long wait, finally reached the front of the line, members of the polling board informed them that they were not on the voter list at that location but at another one.

Some people were told they were not on the voter list at all.

According to our portal’s reporter, several voters went to the conditional voting center because they were not listed anywhere, only to be told there that they should in fact vote at the Technical School. Frustrated, some of these citizens said they would no longer even try to exercise their legally guaranteed right to vote.
