Musliu: The largest population exodus in history is taking place in Kosovo

MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Ganimete Musliu says that due to bad management in Kosovo, the largest exodus in history is taking place, Reporteri reports.

Musliu says that for two years in a row, the government has suffered from a sick ambition to be an actor on the political stage where they face global, political, and economic crises and challenges, while the people of Kosovo have lost hope and decided to go abroad.

"Today we have a government that every day buries the hope of citizens, shows that the change they propagated only brought worse. As a result of all that, with chaotic and senseless politics in the background, our citizens are leaving for the world. Kosovo is experiencing the largest exodus in its history. it is experienced in silence because otherwise, it does not work in favor of the government," Musliu stressed.

She said that the emigration of the population was a popular rebellion against the policies and arrogance of the authorities, which was why Kosovo was in the middle of a national social disaster.

"Doctors, teachers, soldiers, policemen, firefighters, bankers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, educated middle classes, and citizens who would rather stay and build their future in Kosovo, today, because of the government system, choose to leave the country. Shops have no customers. Houses in villages have been left empty. The decline in the number of students in schools is frightening. The standard of living for families is unsustainable with current wages. The reasons for the mass exodus are clear - disappointment, and fear of the future that awaits them, but the main reason is the loss of hope that this political class will seriously approach topics that regulate and ensure the daily life and legality of this society," Musliu says.

Musliu said that the PDK demanded the Government to take urgent steps to prevent the emigration of the population.

"Regarding the actual situation, we have an obligation to engage and offer options that restore hope and guarantee the prospects of a prosperous life for our citizens. The government must take this as a priority and take urgent steps to prevent the population from leaving because if this continues, we will not have generations behind," Musliu said.
