Research by an American NGO: More than half of the respondents believe that Kosovo is going in the wrong direction

The American non-governmental organization "International Republican Institute" published the results of a survey for Kosovo, which show that more than half of respondents believe that the government is on the wrong path and that there are no significant achievements, and unemployment, cost of living, rising prices, and corruption are the biggest problems, Nacionale writes.

In 2021, 49 percent of citizens thought that Kosovo was going in the wrong direction, while now that percentage has risen to 55 percent.

According to this survey, respondents believe that the biggest failure of the government is that it failed to provide more jobs or curb inflation.

In a survey conducted two years ago, 57 percent of respondents cited unemployment as the biggest problem facing Kosovo, while 77 percent of respondents now consider it to be the same. The cost of living and high prices were a problem for 15 percent of those surveyed in 2021, while now that percentage has risen to 68 percent.

Among the biggest failures of the current government, the interviewees include dialogue with Serbia, financial aid, salary increases, and the fight against crime.

Distrust in Prime Minister Albin Kurti's cabinet increased by 13 percent, so now 39 percent of respondents do not trust him or partially do not trust him, while two years ago there were 26 percent.
