Dodik: US relations with Serbia have improved significantly

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said following his visit to the United States that the position of the Serbian people in the United States and Washington’s attitude toward Serbia had changed completely, noting that Serbia and the United States had launched a strategic partnership.

“You know that Serbia and the United States have begun talks on strategic relations. We, too, were supposed to find our place within that framework,” Dodik told RTRS.

He assessed that the US approach toward Serbia had improved significantly.

“I believe that the new generation will preserve that strategic relationship. Marko Djuric did an excellent job for Serbia while serving as ambassador to the United States and later as foreign minister. That must be recognized. You should not cast aside people who have done something good for their country and their people,” Dodik stressed.

He added that he had never turned his back on people who had done something good for the Serbian people.
