Petkovic: Did Rohde lobby for Kenya as soon as he felt personally affected by Belgrade's reaction?

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, questioned this evening how it is possible that the German ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde, has never stated that Albin Kurti and Pristina are violating the Brussels Agreement by refusing to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities for 12 years, yet tonight he is unjustifiably attacking Belgrade over its criticism of Kenya for recognizing the illegal secession of Kosovo—an act that contradicts international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

"Does this law not exist for Rohde? Did Rohde lobby for Kenya as soon as he felt personally insulted and affected by Belgrade's reaction?" Petkovic asked in a statement.

Petkovic also asserted that Rohde has long been acting more like an Albanian lobbyist or a minister in Albin Kurti's government rather than a representative of an EU country, which should at least maintain a balanced approach in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, especially regarding the implementation of agreed-upon agreements.

To him, it is more than clear that Rohde's silence on Kurti’s escalatory moves and violations of the Brussels Agreement reveals who is actually supporting Kurti in undermining the dialogue and disregarding Pristina’s obligations and agreements, whose implementation the EU is supposed to guarantee.

"How is it that no one questions why this man persistently undermines the dialogue and all of its achievements while coming from one of the most influential EU member states?" Petkovic pointed out.
