Petkovic: Equating the Kosovo Police and the KLA, Kurti admitted that his goal was the extermination of the Serbs

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, announced that Albin Kurti had explained a lot by stating that the Kosovo Police was the successor of the "Kosovo Liberation Army", and that indeed, "Kurti's police in the north of Kosovo and Metohija used the same methods of violence and intimidation which were also used by the terrorist KLA because everyone - from children to the elderly - was the target of their terror in recent weeks".

"Now, even those who decided to turn a blind eye to the terror in the north of Kosovo and Metohija cannot remain silent in the face of this public recognition of the militant politics of Pristina. And indeed, Kurti's police used the same methods of violence and intimidation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija which was also used by the terrorist KLA, because everyone was the target of their terror in the past weeks - from children to the elderly, and people are kidnapped, bare-handed civilians are attacked with automatic weapons, an entire people is denied the right to exist in an undisguised fascist manner," Petkovic stated.

As he added, on this occasion he posed the question to the foreign "sponsors of Kurti and his clique": what kind of space they could have for dialogue and de-escalation when the one who was responsible for the current situation, not only did not show the ability to act rationally and step back, but expressed undisguised threats to the physical survival of the Serbs in Kosovo.

"Having identified his police with a criminal organization such as the KLA, which is responsible for the death of thousands of civilians, both the Serbs and political dissidents and Albanians loyal to Serbia, Kurti finally opened his cards and admitted what his goal is - terror and extermination. Kurti, as a slave to his own complexes, equating the so-called Kosovo police and the KLA, de facto placed himself at the head of the party and ideological paramilitary, and his dream of becoming a war chief is easily realized, only that his dream is a nightmare for all reasonable and peace-loving inhabitants of the Balkans. Kurti by his statement today also confirmed all the justification of the request of the Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija for the withdrawal of members of the Pristina party police from that area, because we also received a public acknowledgment that it is not any police, but that it is a criminal formation," Petkovic said.
