Petkovic: Kurti is also dealing with the American Special Envoy for the Western Balkans because he insists on the CSM

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, assessed that by not inviting Albin Kurti to the discussion on the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities organized by the American Embassy in Pristina, Kurti had received the clearest message so far - that no one had any understanding for those who trampled and broke agreements.

"In his pathological hatred for every agreement reached with Belgrade, Albin Kurti began to deal with the American envoy for the Western Balkans because of his insistence on the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities. Kurti was feeling insulted so he did not notice how he was jumping into his own mouth, first of all, he says that there is no hierarchy of agreements, but a chronological order, by which he gave the key argument for the formation of the CSM, to which he is bound by the first six points of the Brussels Agreement," Petkovic said.

As he added, Kurti had also acknowledged that it was up to him and the authorities in Pristina to first fulfill their part of the obligations that the Serbs had been waiting for too long.

"And when it comes to chronology, Kurti knows very well that the CSM was agreed ten years ago, so that obligation of Pristina should have been fulfilled a long time ago. The Brussels Agreement is not Kurti's right to dispose of it at his discretion, because the signatures and obligations in the agreement oblige everyone. That's a lesson that Kurti will have to learn," Petkovic said.
