Petkovic: Kurti will stop at nothing in his efforts to leave Serbs without their legitimate representatives
The Director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that Pristina's pressure on the Serbian people is continuing through attacks on representatives of the Serb List, who have received summonses to appear for questioning as defendants. He added that Albin Kurti will stop at nothing in his efforts to leave Serbs without their legitimate representatives.
"Kurti will stop at nothing in his desire to break the Serbs and leave them without their legitimate representatives, so that he can continue terrorizing our people together with his Rasic. He will not succeed," Petkovic wrote on the social media platform X.
He assessed that the proceedings against the leadership of the Serb List demonstrate that this is the only party acting in the interests of the Serbian people.
"That is why it is being targeted by Pristina," Petkovic said.
The Serb List previously announced that party representatives Igor Simic, Ivan Zaporozac, Ivan Todosijevic, Zoran Todic, and Vasilije Tomasevic had received summonses from the prosecutor in connection with proceedings initiated against them in 2024 over alleged document falsification. The party said this represents a continuation of institutional pressure and part of a plan aimed at persecuting Serbs.
Serb List Presidency member Igor Simic told Kosovo Online that he would respond to the prosecutor's summons because he had nothing to hide and that all actions had been carried out in accordance with the law and in the interests of citizens.
He said he believes that these proceedings are politically motivated and aimed at obstructing the work of representatives of the Serbian people.
