Petkovic: Pristina's dreams are not a topic of the dialogue, nor will they ever be

The Director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that Pristina's wishes and dreams are not a topic of the Brussels dialogue, nor will they ever be, responding to a statement by Pristina's chief negotiator in the dialogue with Belgrade, Agron Bajrami, that Kosovo will not negotiate its existence.

"If Mr. Agron Bajrami had not finally spoken up, no one would have known that Pristina has a new negotiator in Brussels, who has repeatedly declined invitations from EU Special Representative for the dialogue Peter Sorensen. That is why, from April until today, we have not had a single meeting in Brussels at the negotiator level, even though Belgrade has always been ready for talks," Petkovic wrote on the social media platform X.

He also said that Bajrami should first learn the basics of the dialogue before commenting on what is and is not a subject of the dialogue.

"As the new negotiator, Mr. Bajrami should first learn the basics of the dialogue before speaking about what is and is not a subject of the dialogue. Pristina's wishes and dreams are certainly not a topic of the dialogue, nor will they ever be!" Petkovic concluded.

Yesterday, Bajrami wrote on the social media platform X that Kosovo would not negotiate its existence, responding to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's statement that Kosovo is part of Serbia both under the Constitution and by the justice of God.
