Policeman who attacked the graduate speaks out: Determined to continue his work
Dilot Brahimi, a member of the Kosovo Police who was involved in the incident with a Serbian high school graduate in North Mitrovica, made a statement on social media, declaring that he feels more determined than ever to "continue with his work," Telegrafi reports.
"Today, more than ever, I feel determined to continue with integrity, dedication, and honor. To work wholeheartedly for police forces that are just, transparent, and always close to the citizens," Brahimi wrote on Facebook.
He thanked colleagues, friends, and citizens for the support he received following the incident, emphasizing that the gratitude he feels "stems from the trust shown to him during his service."
Brahimi stated that serving in the Kosovo Police is not just a profession for him, but a calling, and that the support of the community is what gives him the strength to persevere.
"You gave me the motivation to be better every day. You reminded me why this job is so important. Let us move forward together—with faith, unity, and dedication to the common good," he concluded in his post.
Serbia had previously issued a warrant for Brahimi on suspicion of using excessive force against a Serbian student during a public gathering in North Mitrovica.
