Rama: How do Kosovo's allies feel when they see Albanians at each other's throats
Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, commented on the fight that happened in the Kosovo Parliament today, where a physical confrontation occurred between members of the ruling Self-Determination Movement and the opposition Democratic Party of Kosovo. He emphasized that he "can imagine how Kosovo's allies feel when they see Albanians at each other's throats."
Rama pointed out on Twitter that such behavior harmed Kosovo's international standing more than any political stance opposing the Prime Minister.
"To disagree with the Prime Minister is democratic, but to express opposition in this manner tarnishes oneself, one's constituents, and the entire country with shame that harms Kosovo's international standing more than any political stance opposing the Prime Minister! Just imagine how indispensable allies and friends of Kosovo and Albanians feel when they see Albanians at each other's throats, where we should fight with ideas and words, not insults and fists," Rama stated.
He urged the opposition to distance themselves "from this shameful behavior and serve Kosovo with the power of example, not the example of force," Rama wrote.
