Ramadani: “Shota” will contribute to strengthening the capacities of the KSF and the security sector
Security expert Burim Ramadani says it is very important that Kosovo will be able to produce the armored vehicle “Shota,” as this will contribute to strengthening the capacities of the Kosovo Security Force, as well as the security sector overall.
“This is also very important due to budget expenditures. The budget will be reduced in terms of costs for armored vehicles, while at the same time there could be much more room for training and greater investment in other aspects of the KSF,” Ramadani told Kosovo Online.
Plans for the production of “Shota” in Kosovo stem from the trilateral military cooperation agreement between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia, and Ramadani says that so far he has not been optimistic that the operational aspects of that agreement have been achieved.
“This smart defense concept is a good idea for countries to work together, to train together, to use the same techniques and the same methodology in operational aspects. It is also very important to invite other countries in the Balkans in order to achieve much broader cooperation,” Ramadani believes.
