Aleksandar Rapajic, Program Director of the NGO "ACDC" from North Mitrovica, says that it is a good thing that the monument has been returned because it rectifies a great injustice and mistake made by the French Embassy that insisted on its removal.

Rapajic emphasizes to Kosovo Online that the greatest pressure came from civil society and the media.

"It's good that this pressure has borne fruit and has shown that more attention must be paid to Serbian victims and monuments, which has not been the case so far in Kosovo", Rapajic believes.

The monument to Serbian soldiers who perished in wars from 1912 to 1918 has been returned today to its original location, where it stood before being relocated to the memorial park at the Pristina Orthodox Cemetery.

In the presence of representatives from the French Embassy, workers from the Public Utility Company returned the monument today.
