Selimi: I don't want to panic, but the US is focused more on Serbia than on Kosovo

Former Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Petrit Selimi stated that the recent US trade mission was focused on Serbia, not Kosovo.

Selimi posted on Twitter that Serbia focused on lobbying for the US military hardware acquisition.

"Important thread. I don't want to be panicky and all but Serbia is now focusing on lobbying towards acquiring US military hardware. Recent US trade mission was focused on Serbia - not Kosovo - and weapons were discussed confidentially with important actors in US military complex", Selimi posted.

He noted that it showed that Serbia successfully continued a double game.

Selimi also added that Kosovo had a footprint in Washington, but that footprint was quickly disappearing.

"Pivoting to US political landscape and US military complex. It’s cynical but for the lack of any credible game and contribution from Kosovo - Vucic is now gaining traction. Kosovo had a footprint in Washington DC. That footprint is disappearing rapidly. The writing is on the wall", he posted on Twitter.
